First day visitor stats for newism.com.au

Well we have “soft” lauched the site to friends, family and colleagues. The response has been positive so far on the ExpressionEngine forums with only a couple of bugs reported.

I thought I would share some site stats with you guys from day 1:

• 664 page hits
• 124 unique visitors
• 11 unique referring domains
• 7 different browsers
• 80 people visited the about page
• 70 people read the welcome post
• 46 people visited our contact page
• 32 people read my .htaccess generator post
• 20 people checked out our awsome client testimonials

Each site is different so it’s hard to compare these stats with other sites we have launched.

All in all I’m happy with the feedback and response. I’m more than happy with percentage of IE 6 users (1%), which justifies our decision to use 24bit pngs and modern CSS techniques.
